Exactly what are you doing? Cell shading / modeling or drawing?

It's vector drawing, I use Adobe Illustrator.

Skills then! I never could get Illustrator figured out. Had a graphics design girlfriend who was awesome in it though. It was hilarious to watch though because her Mac G4 always was a problem, so she used my Windows machine and always complained about it not being an Apple. It costed 1/10th the price, was faster and it turned on! What's the problem again?

I've lost the original file but I drew over a picture from GT4 to make the car, so it's kinda done the same way as yours but w/ shading. It looks hard but if you break the car down into a bunch of flat shapes for each body panel it gets easier. The only drawback of this method is that you can end up with something like 100 layers to manage.

This is another earlier one that I did. I've also got a bunch of half finished pieces on one of my old hard drives somewhere, I'll have to dig 'em out and complete them one of these days...

Amen, my girlfriend's sister has a 15" Macbook Pro from 2010 and is a graphic designer; it can barely run CS6, and the laptop cost almost 6 grand (all the options on it at the time). My XPS with an SSD cost me just a touch over a G note 2 years ago, and it's blasing fast. Never understood why everyone is so set on Apple when it comes to the design trade.

Yep, my thoughts too. But this was 8 or 9 years ago (maybe more...?) and my specs were probably something like an AMD Athlon 2500+, a 120GB 7200 drive and 2GB RAM.
Her Mac was something like a dual PowerPC 500 MHz, 2GB RAM, and a couple of SCSI drives... Shudder in painful memories those drives instill!
